The Hype Factory is a creative production company based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. We work with a mixed range of clients, from small businesses to international brands & corporations, delivering engaging and thought-provoking content.

We are looking for an experienced motion graphics & video editor to join our team, this role will span across The Hype Factory’s wide range of video work. From tiktoks to TV ads, our team work with a big range of clients and you will be involved in every aspect of these projects.

We are looking an editor who wishes to work in a team of like minded creatives to create the best possible projects. Someone who loves new tech, new trends and someone who always seeks to improve and learn, while keeping a strong eye on the fundamentals of story telling within editing. This role is Based in our Belfast Studio; you will work with our in house producers, directors and videographers to create the final step of every video production. Your ability across assembly, sound, colour and motion graphics will be vital to every projects success.

Role will involve:

• Motion Graphics design and implementation

• General video editing

• Working to a storyboard and brief

• Working with our Director to come up with unique ideas with material provided

• Be a self-starter, capable of working independently, and be motivated to succeed

• A willingness to work long hours as needed, often under pressure

• Working alongside other editors & freelancers if required 

• Assisting with pitching and quotation on new projects

• Managing own projects if required

• Helping out on shoots if required

Essential Criteria:

• At least 3 years prior experience

• Highly skilled in Adobe After Effects

• Highly skilled in Final Cut Pro X and/or Premiere Pro and/or Davinci Resolve

• Mac OSX based team

• Highly skilled in Photoshop and Illustrator

• Strong portfolio of previous work

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively

• Ability to work independently and efficiently under time pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment

• Loves new technology and trends and constantly seek opportunities to improve your art/design/animation skills
